Presently, Pharmacy as a career presents a wide range of opportunities, for both graduate (B.Pharm) and post-graduate (M.Pharm) students. Literally, it can be said that Pharmacy, compared to other technical professions has a unique distinction of having a much bigger spectrum of multifarious work prospects. A prospective candidate can choose from amongst any of these areas as per his or her bend of mind or interest and expertise.

For all the above-mentioned fields a degree in Pharmacy is mandatory. However, it may be emphasized that looking at the augmenting level of technology, all around the world, it is advisable for a pharmacy graduate to opt for specialization by completing the post-graduate degree i.e. M. Pharm.

Post graduation (M.Pharm) can be done in any one of the following branches :

  • Pharmaceutics
  • Pharmaceutical/Medicinal Chemistry
  • Pharmacognosy
  • Pharmacology
  • Pharmaceutical Biotechnology
  • Clinical Pharmacy.

Individuals with an inclination towards research and academics can further pursue for doctorate in Pharmacy in their area of interest. Thus, whatever may be the academic level of education of a pharmacy candidate, graduate, post-graduate or doctorate, each level offers a unique range of job opportunities. Presently, Sherwood College of Pharmacy is running the pharmacy graduation program (B. Pharm) and there are plans underway to start the post-graduation and research program in the coming future.
